Radiant Midweek
Into the Gap is a Christian podcast that explores some of the deeper questions and mysteries of Scripture without losing its mind. Hosted by Pastor Jason Shanks, the show examines topics like Genesis, the ancient world, the unseen realm, archaeology, and the big story of the Bible. Instead of chasing hype or dismissing difficult questions, Into the Gap approaches them with curiosity, humility, and confidence in Scripture. Each episode investigates what the Bible actually says, what history and research reveal, and where mystery still remains. For curious people who want depth without drama.

We continue our conversation moving from Daniel 11 to chapter 12. The text is looking towards a future ruler who will make a 7 year alliance with Israel and then break that agreement around halfway through. This future warlord will conquer many countries and seem unstoppable. And yet, he will suddenly come to his end.
This week, we’ll be introduced once again to Michael the Archangel who protects God’s people. There will be a resurrection and the book of life. Several countries are listed. What do they represent in modern times. Join us as we unpack many of the end times symbols and how to apply them to the end times conversation.

Welcome to another episode of Escaping Babylon. We are walking through the end times prophecies and eschatology in order to discover what God wants us to know about this important time and how to be prepared.
Today we suddenly shift gears. We were talking about Antiochus IV Epiphanes, but now Daniel is talking about someone else. Is this the man of lawlessness the apostle Paul speaks about, or the antichrist John references? The passage speaks of a time of wrath. Is this the great tribulation so many predict will come? We’re diving into some future events here and getting a taste of what the time of the end may look like.
This podcast is part three of a three podcast series covering this amazing chapter in Daniel. Hang with me. There’s a lot of history, facts, and data being thrown at you in this podcast, but the goal is to show how the Bible predicted these events hundreds of years ahead of time and it can be relied upon as a source for prophecy.
We’ll be posting new episodes each Wednesday so hit the “subscribe” button to stay informed. Hit the “LIKE” button or leave an appropriate comment to help the podcast reach a broader audience. Also, tell others about it and spread the word. Understanding how the end times is important.

Welcome to another episode of Escaping Babylon. We are walking through the end times prophecies and eschatology in order to discover what God wants us to know about this important time and how to be prepared.
Today we’re being introduced to a portion of scripture Jesus referenced in Matthew 24 as he talked the abomination that causes desolations and a man who many think foreshadows a future ruler some call the antichrist. Let’s find out what we can learn about Antiochus IV Epiphanes.

Welcome to another episode of Escaping Babylon. We are walking through the end times prophecies and eschatology in order to discover what God wants us to know about this important time and how to be prepared. Today we ask… Can the Bible be trusted as a reliable source for prophecy? We’re going to dive into one of the most fascinating chapters of the Bible. It’s Daniel chapter 11 and over the course of 35 verses, more than 135 prophecies are fulfilled. Many of these were written 200-300 years before they happened. The chapter is so specific, that many critics have insisted that it couldn't possibly be prophetic and must have been written after the fact. This podcast is part one of a three podcast series covering this amazing chapter. Jesus would later reference this chapter in Matthew 24, and we will be introduced to a man who would be a prototype of a future evil ruler that will arise and desecrate the temple. There’s a lot of history to cover so hang on for the ride. We’ll be posting new episodes each Wednesday so hit the “subscribe” button to stay informed. Welcome to Radiant Midweek where it is our desire to live beyond Sunday morning and take the conversation outside our walls.
Many pastors and churches don’t teach about the "end times". Schools don't always offer classes on eschatology. Lots of wonder well-meaning Christians avoid it in their personal study time. Why?
Let's discuss the reasons together. Hopefully we will be reminded of how important biblical prophecy is to our spiritual lives and why we should be exploring it further. Perhaps it will help spark an interest in your own journey and encourage you to explore more and dive deeper.
If you’d like to learn more, you can visit us at radiantonline.org. We hope you are enjoying the podcast, hit subscribe or like, and share with your friends.
Thanks for being part of the conversation.

Welcome to Radiant Midweek where it is our desire to live beyond Sunday morning and take the conversation outside our walls. This is week two of Escaping Babylon where we are journeying through the end times conversation so that we can discover what the Bible has to say about this important subject and why it is important to us.
Before we dive into future prophecies, we need to build a foundation and lay a little groundwork for the next few weeks. I know many of you are excited to dive right in, but it’s important we have the proper context and understanding to move forward. This week we dive into the important question, "Why do we study the end times?"

We're called out of the flesh and the world to live life in the Spirit
Welcome to week 1 of Escaping Babylon as we journey through what the Bible has to say about the end times, what that means for us, and why we are called to faithfully endure. Over the next few months, we'll discover what the OT had to say about the time of the end, explore why Jesus thought it was important for you to know, and how the early church writers believed it was imperative for us to understand why the end times were important. To ignore the end times is like reading a book but skipping the ending. Who would do that? And yet, so many ignore Biblical prophecy because it is difficult to understand and too many clowns have made a circus out of it. Let's have some common sense discussions and remove the silliness out of the conversation. Jesus wanted you to know some things about this amazing future period and was calling us to endure. If Jesus desires for us to know about this time, wouldn't you want to be prepared? Ultimately, we are being called out of the world into Kingdom living. He is calling us out of Babylon and into new life. Jesus called that life to the full and prophecy reminds us that God is ultimately in control. Hang on for the ride and be patient. We're not in a hurry. Let's be good learners, take our time, and discover the amazing hope that awaits those who remain faithful. Jesus is coming back! Are you ready?
Revelation 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues..."
