A Statue and Four Beasts | E89
How Long Can This Last? | Daniel 2 & 7 Explained | Escaping Babylon
Empires rise. Nations posture. Markets tremble. Wars rumble in the background.
And somewhere inside we all feel it:
Who is actually in control?
In this episode of Escaping Babylon, we slow down and walk carefully through Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 — two of the most powerful prophetic visions in Scripture.
• The statue of gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay
• The stone cut without human hands
• The four beasts rising from the sea
• The ten horns and the little horn
• The Ancient of Days
• The Son of Man receiving an everlasting kingdom
Are the kingdoms in Daniel 2 the same as the beasts in Daniel 7?
Is the stone Christ’s first coming, His second coming, or both?
Is the final divided kingdom future — possibly a revived empire — or already fulfilled in history?
We walk through:
-
The traditional view (Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome)
-
The alternative scholarly view (Babylon, Media, Persia, Greece)
-
The connection to Revelation 17 and 2 Thessalonians 2
-
The meaning of the ten horns
-
Why Daniel gives persecuted believers a “kingdom reflex”
Daniel 2 shows the kingdoms from man’s perspective — impressive, glorious, powerful.
Daniel 7 shows them from heaven’s perspective — beasts, violent and temporary.
Same history. Different lens.
Most importantly, this episode reminds us:
Don’t anchor your soul to the statue. Anchor it to the stone.
If you’ve ever wondered whether history is random or if God is still sovereign over nations, this conversation will steady your heart.
